Octopus Yo

Just a quick post as I’m tired. It’s been a busy week, lots to do – and today was primarily a ‘bits and bobs’ day. That said some pretty funky stuff has started coming together at work which I’m feeling good about. However, despite a late start this morning I still need to catch up on some sleep.
Unfortunately the snowman depicted below didn’t last the night. At around 2.30am on Tuesday I went to the kitchen for a drink and ‘Slouchy’, as I call him, was leaning pretty far back. By the time I got up at 7.30am the top half had collapsed behind him. Oh well, live fast, die young and leave a good looking corpse, I guess.

Also, inspired by Richard Dave’s 10 minute night shot of the tower in Heaton Park, I did my own 1 minute, 10 second exposure across the field next to my house. It was pretty well lit for night, so 10 minutes would have just ended up an orange mess in this case. There’s a version with orange compensated for, but people who’ve seen it have preferred the original, so here it is:
