Weekend activities

by Phil Long

I’m currently settling for an evening of football (go Spain!) with a glass of wine having just finished a bit of Salmon, corn on the cob and potatoes. After that it’s yet another weekend over - but just four more days before I’m off to France for my hols.

And it’s been a good weekend, not done anything exciting - had a night in the Elephant and Castle on Friday with chaps from work. Yesterday I was at my parents watching over my sister while my parents were watching my uncle’s choir at Liverpool Cathedral, I took a few photos and then watched Doctor Who (see my last post). Picture-wise, I took a few of the garden and of my cat, Tuesday:

Oh, and here’s a nail:

Today I decided to go for a walk along the canal. I went in one direction for about 40 minutes - and was surprised that it takes some time to reach anywhere that feels anything like detached from the town itself which was disappointing. More disappointing though was the fact it began raining about 10 minutes in to the walk - so I ended up getting soaked:

This also meant I couldn’t get too many photos as obviously I didn’t want my camera getting wet. Thankfully the case itself has a waterproof cover.

When I got back I showered to warm up then headed out to Morrisons to buy the salmon, wine and other essentials. When I got back I started watching the third Pirates of the Caribean which Tufty has currently got from “Love Film”. As is the law of sods, the sun decided to show it’s bright little face once I had committed to a house-bound afternoon. Curses!

Anyway, that’s my weekend in a nutshell - the footy has started so I’m off!
