I may be not, all the time all I’ve got…

by Phil Long

I’ve not been on form the last few days - been ill (cold, bad throat) and not sleeping because of it - culminating in my brain operating particularly slowly. Tuesday I was barely able to get a sentence together; so much for never getting ill.

Not all bad though, including York on Sunday, I’ve also probably got out of the house more in the past fortnight than I have in some time. Friday, went out to Manchester with Marc, Goot, Bool, Si and a mate of Goot’s (name, forgotten):

Goot - barBool - TV 21

went to Dukes 92, had pizza then on to tv21 - which was the target destination which was just as well, as for some reason no where wanted to let Goot in. ;)

Tonight I’ve been to Warrington for Slick’s 31st - went to Jenerics all-you-can-eat Chinese and then on to the Barley Mow. Caught up with friends and bumped in to a few old faces I’ve not seen in several years. As it happens, one of which has Kelly who’s recently posted some old Carlton photos from sometime around 1996 on Facebook. Apparently there are more she’s scanning in which will be posted some time soon - argh.

    1. I think I had the same thing, 2 days of brain-crushing headaches, all-over aches and a feeling of impending death. My brain switched off for a good 24 hours afterwards too although I think that might have been related to high-dose painkillers. Yorks nice, I intend on going there again soon, we’ve been twice in the last year but still haven’t managed to get to Jorvic Viking Centre.

    2. I’ve avoided painkillers, but had a bit of Lemsip on Tuesday and today. Last night was worst yet sleep wise (perhaps a few glasses of coke while out didn’t help) - also had coughing fits. It was one of those nights where I felt like I barely slept at all, yet time disappeared. :(
