Matrix – Revolution

by Phil Long

Just got back from having been to see The Matrix – Revolution and well, what can I say ?

I thought it was great. Special effects were fantastic and a lot of bits fell in to place. It helped that I had a refresher on Sunday, watching Reloaded at Imax, and also watched the first half of The Matrix prior to going to the Printworks tonight.

There were elements which I found predictable however, on the other-hand I think most people with half a brain who had actually thought about the films (rather than just enjoyed the action) would have expected these elements.

I think my perspective on that was also influenced by the fact I’ve read half of ‘Taking the Red Pill’ – a book of essays on the original film. From that point of view, there were things I expected to happen that didn’t.

I’m eager to see it again, and I’m going to avoid saying any more until most people have seen it. I don’t want to go ruining it for anybody. :)
